Strange trash can: a Penguin

This splash of color in the form of a penguin has two problems, in my opinion. First, unless you are approaching it head on you will never guess that it's a trash can. Even then, the open beak does not fully convey the utilitarian aspect of the object. You just may think that it's simply another little amusement part statue. Second, there is something really wrong about putting trash into a creatures mouth, especially a creature as cute as a penguin!

While the idea of a waste basket is usually to improve the appearance of a room, these baskets look like crumpled paper.

The difference between a trash can and a waste basket is probably in the content. The contents of waste baskets do not generate offensive orders :) Hence the metaphor of a flower, elegantly done in this case.

Sliding Trash Can

I suppose, if they could come up with a good looking trash can they wouldn't be hiding it inside the cabinet. Still, this is one of the better looking sliding trash cans.
